The Wellwick Mine
Aetherscale Enterprises wants to establish a mine to harvest saltpeter. Can it succeed and help the Highbridge locals face the threats of the Thanalan wilderness? It will need your help!________________________________________________________________________________The O tribe is now a regular sight at the Wellwick Mine. Its elders help direct the dig and others help master operations. Their tents and circles attribute to an eclectic sight alongside the regimented tents of the Ardent Braves and the circles of tents erected by local laborers hired for the venture.The Ardent Braves will help provide security at the dig site. Their number will be found helping to provide security.The mine has been dug and constructed. It is now accessible east of Highbridge and sits at the heart of the camp. Mining saltpeter has properly started.Thanks to the rescue of locals from the Qiqirin, a magister from the nearby temple has seen fit to help out when he can. Hawasan Wawasan is using his ice magic to cool the camp when needed, and his fire magic to help melt down minerals as requested. The old man has also started harassing random miners to see if they have "the talent."A landing has been built over the Yug'ram Canyon.
The Hook
The call is out for laborers, mercenaries, hunters and guards to assist in the construction of a new mine near Highbridge in Eastern Thanalan. Rumor has it investors may even be welcome (though it may be nice to reach out ahead of time about this).If those hooks fit you, or you might like to just happen upon the event, come on out!There's plenty to be concerned about with strange beasts attracted to the Burning Wall, beastmen kidnapping people into the Wellwick Wood and horrors rising from nearby ruins.

At Yug'ram RIver, on a rainy afternoon, Ea Sangrid, I'radebh Tykah and Saya Iruma used the cover of the rain to attack a Qiqirin camp that held the hostages they kidnapped from the area. They discovered Ifrit-worshiping Amaljaa are behind the operation and they were using the river and a hidden path through the waterfall to bring them their tribe. Seven hostages are rescued and safely delivered home. In return, the three are awarded with a payment of gil. In addition, the locals petition the keepers of Thal's Respite to provide each rescuer with a blessing.Item A2
At a secondary dig site, Lucas and Sangrid scouted an ancient structure that had been discovered. They prepared a general map of its layout to be further explored.

If you and a friend want to go and do one of these quests, and then RP with Lucas Rajan for a reward, you should!Kidnapping troubles: Qiqirn are kidnapping locals.
